사이보그의 리믹스는 트램폴린의 어떤 리믹스보다도 원곡에서 멀리 나아간다. 곡은 아주 느린 스텝으로 움직인다. 그에 맞추어 주욱 늘이고 당겨져 형체를 알아볼 수 없는 보컬은 깊은 동굴처럼 아주 먼 곳을 되돌아오는 꼬리가 긴 에코로 존재한다. 단지, D.B.R이 가진 단조의 기운은 그대로 남아 트랙을 지배한다. 나는 이 리믹스를 사운드 트랙으로 생각하는데, 이 트랙이 플레이되는 영화는 프란시스 포드 코폴라의 지옥의 묵시록이다. 붉은 해가 지고 있고, 타지에서 지친 병사들은 붉은 강을 느리게 건너고 있다. 그들은 발목에 족쇄를 차고 저승으로 가는 길목을 건너는 죄수들이다. 아님 블레이드 러너에서 해리슨 포드가 거니는 비 내리는 도시의 골목씬을 그려보는건?
ssighborggg remix pushed itself far from the original, with its slow tempo and stretched vocal track. the vocal is closer to long-tailed echo traveling deep inside a cave rather than singing melody. but, the mood of minor chords which original song contains remains, dominating the mood of the whole track. i take this remix as rather a soundtrack than a remix, maybe it’s the feeling of soundscape and randomness and tempo.. anyways, the movie where this track is being played is “apocalypse now”. exhausted soldiers are crossing the river, the red sun is buring, forests are buring. they are shackled, walking very slowly to the hellgate. or how about picturing harrison ford wandering the rainy city under neon lights in “blade runner”?
